Natacha Gomez
Natacha Gomez, a chef who embodies the spirit of cultural fusion, is passionate about
both tourism and gastronomy. As a Chef Ambassador for the Food Travel Tourism
Association in New York, she champions the city's vibrant food scene on a global stage.
Chef Natacha's culinary journey extends far beyond borders. Co-owning Classy
Pairings, a successful catering and event company built with her daughter Keisha, she
showcases her unique style – a blend of influences ranging from Native American to the
new wave of Caribbean cuisine. This "New Caribbean Gastronomy" reimagines
traditional dishes with a modern twist, all while promoting fresh, local, and organic
ingredients.
While Chef Natacha loves innovation, she also deeply respects her heritage. Her
award-winning cookbook, "Bak Fritay" (Winner, 2020 World Gourmet Cookbook
Awards), and “ Colorful Caribbean”, her bilingual Coloring book are a testament to this.
Highlighting the rich tapestry of Haitian street food, it's a culinary invitation for all to
experience this vibrant tradition.
Chef Natacha's commitment extends beyond the plate. Through her label, "100%
Lokal," she champions a global movement promoting locally sourced products and
sustainable living, This extends to her humanitarian efforts. A certified disaster relief
trainer, chef instructor, travel and tourism consultant, and passionate advocate (often
referred to as an "Eativist"), she works with UN-affiliated organizations to promote
healthy food systems for people and the planet.
Her dedication to her community is equally inspiring. Chef Natacha actively collaborates
with women's NGOs, working to bridge the gender gap and empower women.
