Medegine Guillaume

Medegine Guillaume is born and raised in Harlem, NY. She was a foodie long before it became cool and trendy. A trip to France at 16 solidified her love for food with an introduction to fresh baguettes, crepes, an assortment of cheeses, wine and bouillabaisse. One can conclude the trip to France, specifically Paris and Marseille, played a major role in her decision to become a chef. She later trained at the Culinary Institute of America and Nougatine Restaurant. Medegine is also a James Beard Foundation Legacy Network alum. She holds a B.A. in Broadcast Communication from the State University College at Buffalo. She is a mom to her 11-year-old daughter Gabrielle. Medegine is extremely passionate about introducing people to Haitian cuisine with the goal of changing the narrative about its people and culture.
