Tony Horacek
A great passion and burning desire for the great game of Hockey and a potential dream of playing in the NHL, forged the journey for Tony Horacek coming to the USA, first through his junior career starting in Portland OR and then as a professional athlete in Philadelphia PA. A native of Vancouver British Columbia Canada, Tony has lived in the United States for much of his life making central Pennsylvania home, where he has met many charismatic, generous, strong & kind people including his incredible wife Susanne of 30 years, and raised three fantastic young men, Nicholas Jacob, and Jesse.
During his playing career which spanned fifteen seasons professionally, the seventh-round draft pick played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League. Tony was a member of the Stanley Cup finalist team in Chicago which lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Prior to playing professionally, Tony honed his skills at the Major Jr Canadian Hockey level, playing for Spokane / Kelowna and Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League. He attended Gonzaga University during his time in Spokane majoring in finance.
Upon the conclusion of Tony’s playing career, he spent thirteen years in the Banking indirect lending industry working for Wells Fargo, Onyx Acceptance, and Flagship Credit Corp in numerous roles. Tony then entered the Logistics Transportation industry, teaming up with companies such as Leonard’s, ATS, Covenant, & Big G Express, in various leadership positions. Tony is presently partnered with a start up from Bethesda MD, Autosled, (www.autosled.com) a digital transportation logistics provider that focuses on the automotive industry and their supply chain.
